STATUTE OF THE FOUNDATION

 

THE OCEAN OF DREAMS FOUNDATION

Text after changes introduced by Resolution No. 9 of the Foundation Council

of June 18, 2013and Resolution

No. 1/10/2013 of October 9, 2013.


 

General provisions

 

§ 1
The Foundation under the name OCEAN OF DREAMS FOUNDATION, hereinafter referred to as the Foundation, established by Adam Wiśniewski, hereinafter referred to as the Founder, by a notarial deed at a notary's office in Warsaw, ul. Rakowiecka 41 m. 14 on April 7, 2011, operates pursuant to the provisions of Polish law and these Articles of Association. The foundation is non-political and not associated with any religion.


§ 2

  1. The Foundation is a legal entity.

  2. The Foundation was established for an indefinite period.

  3. Supervision over the Foundation is exercised by the minister responsible for education.


§ 3

The seat of the Foundation is in the capital city of Warsaw.

§ 7

The Foundation was established for the purposes of:

  1. conducting educational activities and professional activation of young people based on the patterns of ethics and sailing etiquette, and social involvement, targeting especially young people from care and educational centres and endangered environments, as well as their educators and guardians,

  2. promoting sailing in these communities,

  3. conducting and promoting activities for the benefit of comprehensive development, shaping the characters and skills to overcome own weaknesses of young people, developing activity, attitudes, and social sensitivity,

  4. activities for the development of educational programs for use in extreme conditions encountered on sailing yachts,

  5. disseminating knowledge and helping people and institutions interested in implementing the sailing education system,

  6. activities for the construction and operation of sailing ships for educational purposes,

  7. conducting educational activities in the conditions of sailing cruises and sailing centres.

 

§ 8

  1. The Foundation achieves its goals through the following:

    1.1. organizing and financing educational activities related to physical culture and tourism, as well as educational activities for young people as well as information and training activities for guardians as part of the concept of ​​sailing education,

    1.2. organizing and financing training courses aimed at securing sailing patents for children and adolescents, especially those from care and educational centres and endangered environments, as well as their educators and guardians,

    1.3. organizing inland, sea and ocean cruises for children and young people, especially from care and educational centres and endangered environments, as well as their educators and guardians,

    1.4. acting for the implementation of experimental educational and educational systems based on sailing trips, in cooperation with the communities of educators interested in sailing,

    1.5. organizing and providing substantive, legal, material and tangible assistance for persons and institutions within the framework of the Foundation's goals,

    1.6. organizing young people around social tasks, including those related to caring for people in need of help, who will be rewarded with sea and inland cruises,

    1.7. collecting financial and material resources for the construction of yachts and sailing ships, and their use for education not related to maritime economy,

    1.8. conducting broadly understood information, training, publishing and advertising activities related to the statutory objectives of the Foundation,

    1.9. organizing public meetings and events, competitions, conferences, courses and seminars, as well as public collections related to the statutory objectives of the Foundation,

    1.10. cooperation, including technical, training, information, financial and material collaboration with state and local authorities, state and social organizations, whose activities are consistent with the objectives of the Foundation or membership in such entities,

    1.11. financial aid for children and adolescents, especially in the form of scholarships, tutoring, tuition fees, accommodation fees, dormitories, boarding houses and others,

    1.12. granting non-monetary awards and distinctions to persons and organizations whose activities support the promotion of the Foundation's goals,

    1.13. providing material, financial and organizational help to children, adolescents and their guardians in order to develop skills and talents of children and adolescents as well as to promote employment and professional activation,

    1.14. gathering specialists, politicians and people who have a decisive influence on developing care and educational programs within the framework of the goals of the foundation, around the idea of ​​the Foundation,

    1.15. other activities aimed at achieving statutory goals.

  2. The activity indicated in § 8 point 1 is a complimentary public benefit activity of the Foundation.

All income may be used exclusively for the statutory activities of the Foundation.

  1. The Foundation's authorities are as follows:

a.    Foundation Council

b.    Management Board of the Foundation.

The Statute becomes legally binding on the day of the Foundation’s registration and obtaining the legal entity status.
